Northrop Grumman Corporation (NYSE: NOC) is a leading global security company whose 120,000 employees provide innovative systems, products, and solutions in aerospace, electronics, information systems, shipbuilding and technical services to government and commercial customers worldwide. NG revenues exceed $33 Billion.

Challenge
Northrop Grumman was in process of implementing a number of software application projects in the Public Safety, Enterprise Content Management (Documentum) and Web Services areas for a large county government. The breadth of application and software expertise required a full spectrum of resources from project managers to developers and documentation specialists in a timely manner.

  • Requirement to manage a full project lifecycle, technical and functional aspects, and deliverables for software and hardware systems integration projects and identify applicable resources with PMI PMP Certification in the IT sector, a demonstrated successful budget and schedule completion of multiple full lifecycle Software Development Processes such as SDLC, and CMMI.
  • Implementation of planning, estimating, scheduling, resource loading, budgeting, cost tracking, risk analysis and mitigation, scope management, and business requirements analysis for software development, software modification, and Commercial Off the Shelf (COTS) integration projects within scope and budget.

These factors provided the challenge to ACS to build the team and properly manage the project.

Epic Application Project Management and Coordination

Our client is a major US provider of integrated health care services in most regions of the country.  Our client offers these services through a network of physicians and through an operation of several dozen hospitals plus hundreds of medical offices.

Challenge
Our client services a demanding user community who is aggressively implementing software technology in order to both cut operating expenses and to improve service to its end customers.  With a commitment to the Epic suite of healthcare applications, our client faces the following challenges:  

  • Requirement to fully understand the features and functionality of the Epic application under consideration and to gather and analyze the user requirements to ensure proper expectations are set before project launch
  • Ability to manage full project life cycle implementation including project scheduling, system design, systems development, user training, project cutover and post implementation support.
  • Requirement to manage the project contributions of the information technology team, to ensure the project deliverables are as per the specifications and meet the project timelines.
